Who we are

Grace Rojas Montemayor

Founder of Movimiento STEM+.

For over 20 years she has championed scientific thinking as a path to sustainable development and social wellbeing. An expert in systemic change and social innovation, she has developed a unique framework to generate high impact and influence public policy.

In 2014 she received the National Entrepreneur Award and in 2015 the National Quality Award. She was also named an Ashoka Fellow in 2022 and a representative of Mexico at various international forums.

She has been recognized for advancing the STEM+ Ecosystem as one of the country’s most outstanding executives by the magazines Expansión, Mundo Ejecutivo, Opinión 51 and by Forbes, as one of the 100 most powerful women.

Her commitment to making STEM talent visible led her to be named one of Mexico’s 50 most influential figures and, for her work on behalf of education in our country, one of Quién’s 31 most beloved women.

Distinguished as one of the 100 global women leaders in STEM, her vision and leadership are now a reference for Latin America.

Why is STEM important?

According to the United Nations, the generation between 9 and 19 is the first one that could end extreme poverty and the last that can effectively combat climate change. Failing to influence this generation would mean failing as humanity!

Let’s not forget, we are living in the era of Artificial Intelligence, yet our young talent is not acquiring the essential skills demanded by an increasingly technological world.

In this global context, the world’s greatest bet is STEM Education.
