Fredy de Jesús Góngora Cabrera

Fredy de Jesús Góngora Cabrera holds a Bachelor's in Primary Education, with several professional-development diplomas and over 20 years of experience. He is part of the ABC teachers' network, the Evaluadores Unidos group, the group of teachers certified in assessment, and the KitCo group.

He has been recognized with the SEP Academic Merit Diploma 2008, Distinguished Teacher of the State of Yucatán 2017, accreditation for Expo Ciencias Paraguay 2022, and Best State Educational Practice 2021 during the pandemic by the SNTE.

He champions the “Alchemists of Education” teaching philosophy, which blends STEM methodology with the belief that nothing is impossible and that there is power in students' voices and creativity, turning them into true agents of technological and social change.

His vision of advancing STEM disciplines for community development led him to win the second edition of the STEM Talent Award: National Teacher Prize Mexico among more than 3,200 applications from teachers across the country and all education levels.

Fredy knows that we learn from mistakes, and that is what he seeks to convey to his students; he hopes they remember the message he gives at the end of each school year: “Because I gave you wings of freedom, let nothing and no one stop you.”
