University Protocol: Women in STEM Commitment
Did you know… only 33% of students in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics programs are women? Only 2.6% of women enroll in ICT programs, and fewer than 1% of women doctoral candidates are in those fields.
At Movimiento STEM+ we believe that boosting female talent in STEM requires action throughout the entire educational path, and the commitment of the most relevant institutions along it.
As part of this commitment, we promote the University Protocol: Women in STEM Commitment, an initiative that invites Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) to strengthen the conditions for more women to access, remain, grow and lead in STEM disciplines, while fostering spaces for collaboration to share experiences, generate evidence and make women’s contributions in these fields visible.
It doesn’t matter where you start… what matters is that you decide to move forward!
Through the signing of a commitment and an annual assessment, each institution will be able to know its starting point, track its progress and build an evidence-based transformation path according to 7 principles.
